Usually wouldn't comment on a video like this, but I gotta say at first I thought this was going to be one of those scam "use my 50 day online course to learn how!" But it's really refreshing to see someone who actually engages with and replies to their audience and makes meaningful content. From one artist to another I really appreciate it and keep up the good work <3

I got almost 10 commission requests on Instagram, but sadly they are all scams

It always confuses the hell out of me how some people are able to gain a ton of traction from random comers on insta and get art commissions. I had over 800 followers and got hundreds of likes on my art but all I had in my dm’s were those annoying “scam bots” with 0 followers that want to send me a product and a link. All the other people also who are saying all you need is a commission tab and just post regularly are full of bs so thank you for ACTUALLY speaking the truth!

Man, when I first saw this video I was like: "what? This dude is totally wrong" 'cause all my commissions I sold so far came from Instagram.

But this is my second month working with art commissions and I'm not getting commissions at all. Everyone says no and now I see that you were right all the time.

Instagram is a terrible place to sell art commissions. I'm gonna try other platforms.

My friend who's an artist got dmed by a woman wanting to do a business collaboration through commissions. My friend would have to draw for clients that "she" got and they'd split the money between them. The huge red flag was "she" wanted to pay my friend only through bitcoin. Don't know if it was really a scam.. has anyone gone through this?

I got scam 2 times and the best thing I can say. To realisie that is scam. And never sending money to them, if it be asked. And block them.

I didn't even think about doing commissions before, but someone commented on my insta saying they like my art and asking if I do commissions so here I am😂

I have like what? 40-50 followers? So now that's interesting.

Seeing this, I'm definitely thinking about posting art on various platforms too (twitter ect), so this was a nice help❤
