Scammers are taking over Instagram, and in this series, I'm going to expose the most common and dangerous Instagram scams, and how you can avoid them. Welcome to Instascam! Thanks for shedding light on this! In a true brand collaboration you would never have to pay for the product or shipping and while it can be so exciting when a brand reaches out its important to take a step back and ask yourself if it seems real. If know for me my gut reaction is always right so I hope other creators learn to trust their instincts and look out for these scams too. Great video!

I’ve had two different accounts claiming to be representatives of the brands which have like 100k followers on Instagram. The first time I was told to purchase their products so that my picture would be posted on their account. I didn’t proceed to do what they asked me to. The next time, a so-called rep from a different brand told me that I would get free products from them and I would be their brand am. However, after talking with them for a while, they told me that the products are free but I would have to pay for the shipping cost which is around 34.45 pounds (which can be used to buy many products like those that they sell). So that’s when I stopped contacting them.

OMG thank you for talking about this! This happens to me all the time and I’m like “you obviously didn’t even look at my account very well to know we wouldn’t be a good match!” These shops need to GO! Terrible for people who don’t know any better and actually buy the product
