Thanks Dave good vid, I have been working hard with Sharpen and Denoise using the mess around technique, or the what does that do technique, I very much appreciate the direction you provide me with my work.

Thankx again. I frequently would use the Stabilize, then put into Elements, then go into Focus mode and see additional improvement. And because of "funkiness" I now normally use the mask tool at the start (so I don't miss an area). ANd I usually turn off sharpening until the last pass. And I frequently use Dfine Hot Pixels without inspection - quite often things like the body of a bird will seem slightly more saturated.
Please keep these coming.

I just installed Topaz Sharpen Ai 3.0.3 yesterday on my Mac Mini M1/MacOS Big Sur and I was blown away by the speed boost compared to the earlier 2.x.x versions! It’s like a completely different piece of software really. So far I haven’t discovered any bugs with it, but it’s only been less than 20 hours since I installed it. We’ll see if any comes up later? So far I’m a very happy user of the latest version of Sharpen Ai on my Mac.

Good info as always. BTW, your flower image would be perfect to demonstrate TK7's Frequency Separation to repair the dead part of the flower petals.

I find on low resolution images of buildings SAI's blurry mode helps but Luminar AI's Detail provides additional results on top of what SAI does. I believe they have a Clear and Sharp Template that makes use of Detail.

Great video! One thing I might add, however, is that I suspect the ability of Sharpen Ai to remove noise at higher ISOs depends in part on whether or not the particular image is properly exposed. Underexposed images often contain far more noise than those properly exposed. I use a Nikon D500 for my wildlife images and I commonly generate images in the ISO 3200 range that contain very little noise when properly exposed. Time and again Denoise Ai needs to add only a tiny amount of noise correction with these images and I suspect even Sharpen Ai would be sufficient.

There is now a new update with some Bug Fixes in case anyone has had issues with Version 3.0. The new update is Version 3.0.1...

Nice analysis Dave as usual. But I would like to see an extra image where you had LR set to sharpen and denoise to see how much Topaz could improve on those functions in LR. After all, most processing SW can add useful sharpening and denoise to RAW images.

Dave - I notice on the bottom right there is a Mask brush to click on. How does this work? Thanks

The trouble with the bundle is that jpeg to raw and adjust Ai still does not work with Big Sur, we have been waiting four months for them to correct this, just to worn your viewers. But we do like your videos.

Great tutorial! I bought DeNoise AI recently, and though it does a great job on reducing noise, I wished I had bought Sharpen AI instead. It looks like Sharpen AI does a good enough job on noise that I probably didn't need Denoise AI.

The "very blurry" mode is a great addition; it already helped me to save a special image. Not sure about the benefit of "very noisy" - probably I will continue to blend Sharpen and Denoise outputs in PS for noisy and blurry images for maximum quality. As for your comparison before vs after I guess it's a bit unfair to compare the Sharpen result against the unsharpened original image.

Hi Dave, if you upscaled a photo using Photoshop's normal upscaling feature and then combined it with Topaz AI Sharpen, how would it compare to using just Gigapixel ? Thanks for your help.

Hi David . Looks like you will probably need to do a followup video for both Sharpen Ai and DeNoise Ai as there have been significant issues with the 3.x.x. release . Topaz Labs will of course figure out the issues and resolve them and lets hope that everyone will be satisfied very soon ./SRK

Hi. Thanks for your videos about the Topaz Solutions.
Because the ISO noise really depends on the camera you use, what camera are you using?

Dave, thanks for a good demonstration of the new version of Topaz Sharpen AI. Please don't use captioning of the voiceover, however. It is extremely distracting.

Hi Marc,

Thanks for letting me know. We're going to release version 3.0.3 later today or tomorrow and I'd recommend keeping an eye out for that as it will have additional improvements that may affect the speed. Once you've updated to the new version, please test with each option in ''AI Processor'' in File > Preferences i have received this amail from Yazi.. waiting for A_+ Dave
