Good, Very Good, all I really wanted to learn is why there is 'apply mask' and then another step called 'apply'... You clarified that in this video plus all of the other makes this a genuine five star hit! Thank You Dave!

Thanks for demo-ing the masking function. I was annoyed by the funky edges on details that I didn’t want sharpened, without thinking of the masking capabilities.

Thanks. Thought I'd wait to see if there were any update issues running Big Sur. I'll load 'er up now.

I have and love Sharpen AI, but I haven't updated to 3.0 yet because of negative comments I have read on Topaz' website. These concerned how well it actually sharpens. How about a comparison of the previous version v. 3.0 of the same flower so we can see if 3.0 is actually better.

Looking forward to seeing your V3 DNAi video. Morganti found low light mode no longer effective compared to V2. I have found the same issue for old scanned images. Low Light mode used to give excellent result.

super tuto ! i didn't dare to use remove blur at 100, so I wouldn't have tried too soft mode. never used mask before. looks quite powerful for halos, ... !

Performances are NOT sped up. It can take up to 10-15 minutes to edit an image. If you make a mistake, you have re-process again and it takes another 15 minutes, so imagine this after a wedding/christening shoot when you have 300 photos? And, YES I do have a fast system with good RAM and processing speeds. I’d rather stick with Adobe PS & LR.

Is it better to do all of your photoshop editing such as tone and color corrections first then go into topaz for denoise and sharpening? Or does it not matter after the photo comes out of camera raw into photoshop? Is the raw file already changed from raw to a tiff when it goes from adobe camera raw to ps. It seems to me that if it is still a raw file in ps then you have a little more information to work with than a tiff file and you still have all of your layers you can still adjust.. trying to figure out the best workflow here to get the most out of the image. If it is already a tiff file coming out of acr then maybe doing topaz first is best as any layers you add above the topaz layers can all be adjusted and you already know that you have a good image to work on that was still not too blurry or have too much noise to make a good image.i think I just answered my question that doing topaz first is best what are your thoughts? Thanks jim

I'm happy to see yours works fine after mine updated it pauses in the middle of the generating preview mod then crashes when you try to close the app this is the only problem with this software I have encounter since I bought it over a year ago.

for people who own this software.. what do you think is your percentage of photos that this software works with .. I have tried and so far only 1 photo out of 23 .. and the results were so very slight.. barely noticeable.. other photos i notice zero change or a change for the worse

Great review/tips Dave. If I use Sharpen AI from Lightroom (or passed thru to Photoshop then back to Lightroom), do I still need to do output/export sharpening from Lightroom for web or print?

I am something with everyone of your tutorials.

Thanks for the update, Dave. I usually do the masking BEFORE the actual sharpening. I think it's faster? What do you think?

Good preview Dave! I just installed the update last night and gave it a quick try. Topaz has some serious voodoo magic working here. Haven't said "Wow..." about a piece of software so often. The performance update is really noticeable. Say, did you try your "double sharpening" trick here to see if you could eke out even better results?
