We took this video to show you how to remove and replace the headlights on a Hyundai Santa Fe Generation from 2006 to 2012.
We demonstrated on a 2007 model but it will be the same for the whole generation. All you are going to need is a 10mm wrench to remove the 2 bolts on the top and 1 nut behind the headlight.

It will be the same procedure for the left and the right headlight. You will not need to remove the bumper in order to remove the headlight. Ours was just cracked there and that's why it was a little bit loose.

On my 2007 Santa Fe, I removed the two 10mm screws & one 10mm nut, then pulled the drivers-side headlight assembly out following your instructions. Replaced the burned out low-beam bulb. Then reinstalled everything. Took about 15 minutes. THANK YOU so much.

Hints:
- after you get the front edges pulled out about an inch grasp under and pull UP. The clips under the outer edge will release and you can remove the assemblies.
- the headlight assemblies that I purchased on eBay had connections for both one- and two- plug connections.
- hook up your electrical connections and make sure you lights are working properly BEFORE installing them.
- my new assemblies came with new bulbs installed. Be sure to remove the good bulbs from your old assemblies, label them, wrap them securely, and put them in your glove compartment. Do not touch the glass portion of the bulbs and wipe them off if you do.

Taking this out wasnt too bad but man, getting it back in was nuts. I had to remove the skinny top plastic bezel in order to do so. I popped it back on but without the 4 screws it had. Not a huge deal considering it's still secured by the 2 larger bolts, but still.

Greta video - quick and to the point. Only two screws and one little bolt, then slide the headlight base out. Took roughly 15 mins from start to finish. (And I'm not the most handy person) Thank you !

people you dont have to go through all of that. see the big big cap in the video, well the outer one is low beam the inner one is the high beam, twist ether one it comes off, reach in and turn the bulb the the right and it will slide out, get a new one and reverse the prosess. and that is a 2012 i just did it to my wifes car. thank you and have a wonderful day or night when you are reading this

Thx for the video. The clip is a flat slot on the lower signal light side. The headlamp will slide out when you pull it out.

Check out the easy way how to do this on the passenger side. It is tight on the drivers side but after checking the bulb type form the other side i was able to change the bulb without taking the headlight assembly out - I am not a mechanic - if i can do it anyone can.

Interesting, your fender cover is popped out like mine. After seeing you remove the cover, i wonder if that fender piece connects to something around it. I been trying to push it in with no luck. Maybe removing that headlight cover will fix it
