When u get the guidecoat to disappear that quik, you know the work before was nice and flat 👍🏻💪🏻

My 68 Rambler is a perfect example of primer ripples, that was the reason I decided to paint my own cars after that.

Good advise on grit …. My buddy always went straight to 180, but i think the 120 cuts better and gets ot straighter to start …. Then u can go 180 - 220 to remove scratches and move forward to 320 /400 ….

Ok I know you said it’s what works best for you but what are the pitfalls of using 80 first ? To hard to remove those scratches?

just remember euro people, the grit and P-xxx are different, usa gits are finer than what we in uk etc have so 100 / 120 in us is probably around P180
