Hey Everybody! Hope everyone is having a good week
Today's Loop features Mr. Dressup. He is basically the Mr. Rogers of Canada and should be a nice nostalgia trip for some of you. I really like the crinkles in this one. Made some audio adjustments to enhance ASMR. Hope you enjoy!

I haven't heard this voice in probably 35 years. Thanks for this ❤️ He was a Canadian national treasure.

One of my first ASMR experiences without knowing what it was! Great memory.
I met Mr. Dressup as a child as we were getting in the train. He was a gentleman and generous with his time. A really classy guy.

defo one of my first experiences with ASMR as a child. Anytime he did crafts or his drawing bits I was entranced. Great video.

I took a really nice nap to this one yesterday. Those paper crinkles are wonderful.

Yes! Loved the noises he would make whenever Arnie did crafts like this. Back when I was a kid before I knew anything about ASMR anytime he cut paper gave me goosebumps!

Mr Dressup was my FAVORITE SHOW as a child but I had completely forgotten everything about it except that fact. I've wondered why I sometimes dream about a blue patchwork bunny stuffy, and look there it is the exact one in the background

Almost in tears finding this… I had my first ASMR experiences ever watching Mr. Dress Up as a kid, never understood why watching him cut paper was so soothing to me. Thank you

If you're Canadian, you already know. Where I lived (Manitoba) most of us had farmers television (free public access tv with 4 or 5 channels, depending on weather). Bob Ross and Mr. Dressup were played religiously, so I guess those were most of our first experience with asmr-esque stuff. Thanks for the upload boss.

I just stared at the smallest owl on that picture in the background.

It looks totally spaced out.

I just read his Wikipedia (not my most favorite place for info, but anyways..) Ernie Coombs, kind of sad, he lost his daughter to a car accident that killed her and he suffered a stroke in 2001 and died a week after the stroke, that's tough for a man that was so kind and sweet.
Glad I grew up watching it, loved the show, the characters and the people in it.

Mr. Rogers started in Canada, all of the stuff in his back yard was created by CBC technicians. Mr. Dress-up (Ernie Coombs) was Mr. Roger's understudy and a puppeteer on his show when it was in Canada. When Mr. Rogers moved the show to the US, Ernie stayed in Canada and created Mr. Dress-up as a character on a show called Butternut Square.

I remember watching Mr Dressup with my younger brother. He taught us how to roll up pages of the newspaper, cut long slits down into it, then push it up from the bottom and out grew an amazing tree!!
Love early CBC.
Friendly Giant asmr would be great too!🦒🐔
