This was so helpful!!!! I was pleasantly surprised since so many of these videos are BS. You're awesome, especially for a mac/google docs user like me!

Thank you for this video! I wanted to have three separate headings for a three-page resume and was getting increasingly frustrated with all the incorrect or incomplete solutions on how to do that I was finding on Google. The link with previous page feature you identified was what all the other explanations I saw were missing.

I need help asap😭
I do exactly as u said in this video but the moment i close my header, previous headers also are changed. I'm editing and script so I want to have different headers in each chapter, no footers needed. I choose "Next Page" from "Breaks" menu, then i double click the header in the new section. I deselect the "Link to previous" then type my new header text. But when i double click on the body or close the header, my previous section's header is changed too. Idk what to do😭😭😭

This was helpful. However, I run into a problem that when I edit my headers to have different headers on odd/even pages (by clicking on the "different odd and even pages" - it also changes my footers! (I have my page numbers centered. But the even number pages then move to the left margin instead of being centered). This seems like some sort of problem in the program but I don't know how to change it.

I tried to follow yours but each time I change the header title it goes to all the headers

For me the options i grayed out. I so hate word :( Most users dont know anything about different breaks. Issue is when i want to make the second page different and choose different fist page. It swappes the first page with the second page. Word does things so weird and randomly does things by itself without any reason

I have the chapters of my book separated into sections (with section break). I want the title page of each chapter NOT to have the title up in the header above the title, only on the header of the other pages within that section. How do I do that? I tried everything, I think. Thanks.
PS. I can only do it if my title pages do not have a header or a footer (down right where I put the page numbers are); I want the footer to stay on each title page.
