Microsoft Word 2016: How to Insert Different Headers on Each Page

Phhht. What I see in the video, and what Word itself presents may as well be two different applications. I'm sure this worked at the time, so this is not a knock on the tutorial. Its just that it's now a historic artifact from a time long forgotten. Were it not for Microsoft's penetration into the corporate world, thus stymieing any meaningful competition, it too would be a museum piece. Some golden day, perhaps.

Can you not have more than 3 different headers? Everything in my project is completed, except for 5 of the 8 headers need to be changed and it won't let me. I need some help. Everyone needs to write a very strongly worded letter to Microsoft.

Why does this not work with banded headers. The banded headers stay the exact same even if you turn off link to previous. This is causing me a lot of problems.

Thank you, I kept inserting a page break instead of a new page so that's why it kept frustrating me that the headers were always the same, lol.

not helpful at all. i need to put in different footer information AFTER THE DOCUMENT IS ALREADY MADE. turning off "Link to Previous" does nothing.

I don't understand why people don't talk in their videos. It would be much better if I could hear someone talking and have the video in the background so I can actually do the steps in word.

How do you do this on iPad? I got it to two separate sections, but the design tab doesn’t appear to unlink the two sections.
