Lost in Translation: The Jerusalem Temple as a Den of Ravenous Wild Beasts!

The traditional translation of "Den of Thieves" is misleading both in the mouth of Jesus in the Jerusalem Temple--but more significant,--in the mouth of the Prophet Jeremiah whom Jesus quotes. Here is the back-story on what was really going on, both in the time of Jeremiah and of Jesus.

James. You are right. I always questioned the sacrifice's and felt it wasn't God's will. Now I know. ✝✝✝

This explains why the priests were so afraid of the influence of Jesus. They weren't afraid of a violent insurrection. They knew that the Romans would never let that happen. They were afraid that people would stop bringing their sacrifices and that their free ride and income would stop. It's always about money when it comes to evil acts.

I've been watching this fellow for a while. He makes sense. He's unstoppable. He produces a lot of work. Having had 12 years of Catholic school, I was brainwashed to a whole different agenda....

This also goes hand in hand with early church's sources when talking about James the Just. He was a vegetarian, and used linen clothes. Eisenman does a great job pointing that out.

All though I would never call myself religious, I gave up going to church when I was 10 years old because of the hypocrisy. I greatly value listening to your talks. You are the only person who has ever actually taught me something about Christianity and the Bible.
