Well they tried to have a super team in their first year, killed it in the regular season in both splits before choking in playoffs, then they just said fck it

That’s what happens when player salaries are GIGA inflated and no one is making any money

They just flushed AEG money down the drain to buy an LCS slot and do nothing. Successful at having low operational costs perhaps but nothing else

Franchising ruined NA, it shoulda stayed the same with relegations.

is the franchise era over? If it is I'm assuming that it's considered to recently have been over like when TSM left would be the beginning I guess, then CLG, EU teams in general

It's really sad, I was a huge Immortals fan in their first year, with it being the only team I ever bought merch for back in the day, and then the org disappeared after that massive high note. Even their strategies were insanely fun to watch. It feels like the old days of League were much better than today, and it shows in the fact the eSport scene is slowly dying. Wish it wasn't the case, but it is.

Seeing some weird comments here. Blaming this on capitalism is complete backward thinking. This is a lolesports problem not a profit seeking organization problem. Point me towards an outcome and I’ll point you towards an incentive. Until there are enough eyeballs and fans that incentivize fielding good teams that actually win then this problem will exist. World isn’t a charity unfortunately.
