Sherwin Williams has a paint for darker colors for vinyl called Vinyl Safe. Benjamin Moore has Regal Select Exterior REVIVE.

Jon, have you ever tried Boral trim? It's a nice alternative because it doesn't move like pvc trim, and it takes paint easily (actually needs to be painted)

I'm surprised that you didn't mention that you have to sand the surface of the Azek, usually I recommend to use 220 grid sandpaper, it won't peel if you prep the surface right.

Thanks for the tips. Totally off subject, I've been looking for a new pair of slip on leather shoes and see that you appear to own a pair that look decent. Would you share the brand?

if you want to prime vinyl or anything where most primers wont stick use BIN shellac primer and use the appropriate paint finish for whatever you doing, shellac sticks like nothing else does. and for patch I really dont like mh ready patch it just shrinks to much and if left heavy is pretty hard to sand down.
