However, cities with many Asians do seem correlated with more academic stress for kids..

Finding this town is shockingly uncomplicated

You are just looking for a medium sized city (population of 20, 000-60, 000) on the West Coast. That'll check all your boxes (affordable, near Costco, and some Asians). Probably something in Northern California or Southern Oregon. Probably best to pick one with a small university (helps with the diversity bit).

I grew up in Houston, went to a public high school with 4000+ students (1050 in my graduating class), almost amajority of them asian. I was lucky enough to come away with valedictorian, and now after a year at MIT, I can say high school was the most high stress experience of my life.

Gotta hard suggest Montgomery County Maryland. Cities like Fredrick or Rockville are just great, albeit slightly expensive, and there’s a ton of other smaller towns nearby that are much more affordable!

Edit: yeah, for all yall saying it moco can be pretty expensive, it certainly can be. But if yall go somewhere like Damascus or as far from the kentlands as humanely possible you should be pretty good. Also feel like I should add, we don’t even get a ton of snow :). Just enough every year to have a bit of fun. We’ve also got Costco’s aplenty.

Duluth Georgia has a pretty large Korean population and it’s only 30 mins from Atlanta! They have a ton of Korean medical places and hmart, and Montgomery has a fairly large Korean population as well as Prattville bc of the Hyundai factory. If you want more of a city vibe Atlanta has a pretty large Korean/asian population as well!!

Rockville, MD (just outside Washington, DC by 30mins, and attached to the city metro system )

1. Large Asian population (est. 30% population)
2. Not super low cost, but lower than the other two
3. has one 20mins away
4. We only get a couple of inches of snow a year on average

Northern Virginia. Arlington County is pricey (but amazing for social life in your 20's/early 30's). Fairfax County, and Loudon County have large Asian populations. There's Falls Church, Annandale, Alexandria, etc for delicious, cheap Asian (and other ethnic!) restaurants.

edison nj. my cousins live there and it fits all requirements

asians: the town is mostly indian but that’s part of asia
low-cost: it’s veryyy affordable my cousins don’t have very high paying jobs but they live comfortably
costco: my cousins have a costco 20 mins from their house
no snow: this one’s a hit or miss, it’s either none at all or a lot, yearly average is 28 inches total
hope you consider <3

I recommend Georgia! There are several cities in Georgia that have a good size Asian population (Morrow, Duluth, Alpharetta, etc), we have several Costcos and we NEVER get any snow! Also, compared to SF and NY, it way more affordable here

Honestly anywhere around Atlanta that’s not actually Atlanta is pretty good lol. Duluth, Suwannee, lawrenceville and areas around are a safe bet. They’re slightly larger suburban cities w low prices compared to Seattle, cali and NY. Definitely a nice area to start a family in.

The Metro Vancouver area (canada) has lots of Asians, we have Costco, snow for about a week, then a few weeks later, snow again for a week. However this place is expensive to live in. But the further east you go the less expensive it is. In my highschool, i have lots of Asian and wasian friends(including me!). It is easy to find great asian restaurants and communities

Fresno CA. Not Chinese community specifically, but there’s an Asian community. Cost of housing is half of SF. Cost of living creeping up though. But that doesn’t matter if you have 3 Costcos in town! Also no snow. But Yosemite is like an hour away. SF, LA is like 3-4hrs. Competitive high schools, even easier if you have Asian smart kids they’ll nail the classes to help with college applications. What it doesn’t have is a good med school.

Centreville, Virginia is a great place. A lot of Korean BBQ, Costco is there, a gym, a Lotte, and greenery.

Legitimately it's saint louis. I'm not Asian I'm AA but there is a large Asia community. Saint louis is more akin to NY than anyone woukd ever know without living here. It's extremely affordable. It also is a mini silicon Valley. Its a regional area in that Saint louis Missouri, 3.5 million area that isn't specifically Saint louis. In thos case Olive Missouri is a county of saint louis. It's a large Asian community. Lots of ethnic store, food ect

Here to rep Pearland TX. Or any town in near proximity, Sugar Land, Katy, Staffkord, etc. Plenty of Asians. And I mean PLENTY. Plenty of Costcos. In comparison to some of these places, moderate cost of living. Really close to the city of Houston. Snows once every blue moon. Most of these details are pearland specific, but some bear similarities to nearby towns (culture, housing)

126, 000 population (~16% asian)
(Very diverse and area is extremely welcoming to all cultures)

Filled to the brim with local Asian communities and businesses, drive around and they start popping up like flies.
(As an Asian myself, I'd know)

Costcos aplenty (as far as I know there are like 5 in our town and a lot more within a 20 mile radius of our town alone.

Cost of living is FAR cheaper in comparison to those places. Jeez. For metric, a large 2 story house 4 bed 4 bath could run you anywhere from 350-550, 000.

Honestly just come to the area trust bro 🙏 😭

Here in Charlotte, the Asian population is relatively small. But the median home price is 450k. The last time it snowed was January 2022.
And we definitely have costco. We also have a significant number of asian markets and restaurants. A lot of dumpling places bao places Ramen places. Korean food Thai food. A few places that make really good nigiri. The asian population did Increase by eighty three percent last year as well
