What was supposed to be a joyous Christmas celebration turned into a nightmare for Jennifer Heath Box, when Broward County, Florida, sheriff’s deputies arrested her and threw her in jail for three days—all because they refused to check their paperwork to make sure they had the right person. Because of indifference of police and jail personnel, Jennifer missed Christmas with her family and, most importantly, missed seeing her son before he deployed overseas with the United States Marines.

I searched Peraza and discovered he was charged with manslaughter in 2013. The system is definitely corrupt when he wasn't at least fired.

Crazy how spending a few months in police academy magically makes you immune to personal accountability...

I've never seen any industry blatantly and shamelessly avoid accountability like law enforcement does

They weren't listening to a word she said, which lets you know that they weren't willing to verify if they had the right person. All they wanted was the arrest.

There needs to be a Federal investigation into the arresting officer he obviously lied on his police report. This officer absolutely deserves to be prosecuted for felony kidnapping.
