There's a quote by picasso "inspiration exists but it has to find you working".
Thanks for the video.

I literally just stopped this video "for a quick sec" to google something and I'm coming back to it 45 minutes later. I'm not only avoiding work I'm avoiding videos calling me out for avoiding work. 😭

"There is no magic. It's all process." - heard recently, can't attribute! My word for 2025 is "consistent". Just be consistent. Not crushing it, not slaying, not hustling. Just consistent.

And, an additional note to Cam at 12:13. I understand the comment about content being vapid, but honey, there is NOTHING about the content you create that is vapid. Yes, so much of internet content is pointless. Yours is not among them. I love your take on things - this "meat puppet" idea is an example of how smart conceptual thinking can be. Cheers!

You may have just saved my life and career with this video

The line you wrote at the top really drives the whole point home:

52 OF THESE WEEKS IS HOW WE BUILD A DREAM LIFE

My immediate reaction to reading the title was “oh fuck off“ so there must be some truth to it. I’m also still avoiding watching the video 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

woke up super anxious and resigned myself to an anxious day where i didn’t get much done, saw you posted, cursed because that title meant the anxiety was going to get worse before it got better, did your thought experiment as a journal prompt, got more anxious, then got less anxious. thanks dude. you rock

Wow, I’m SO glad you continue to hit upload. Your videos are a gift to all of us. I know you may not always keep uploading, but I am so grateful when you do. Thank you for putting yourself out there!

Exactly the video I needed right now. You constantly offer such valuable help to people who really need it, and package it in such a friendly "dude you met sitting around the fire at a sharehouse party who you become mates with for a few hours and then never see again but remember fondly" way that just works. Thank you kindly for the work you do, it makes a huge difference.

I saw this video in my feed yesterday. I knew the title was right, but I just couldn't deal with watching it.
Today I was in an emotional place that I could watch it.

What hit me hard was 'I tend to think that things are impossible for me, but possible for other people'.
If someone else is looking for a job they are passionate about, I tend to think "thinks will work out, they'll get there". But when I am looking for a job, I tend to become anxious. I can't find what I want, I feel like what I want doesn't exist or is impossible for me to get etc.

I love your use of children's toys in your videos! The numbers-xylophone from the year in review video, the puppet here... Your style of combining those with your drawings and worksheets is really great

I just wanted to share that this video had a profound impact on me and unlocked a will to live a good life that I didn't know I still had in me :)

60 seconds in I turned the TV off, pulled this back up on my phone, and went and washed the dishes while watching. This is exactly what I was looking for. A habit goal. "This is what I want my week to look like at the end of the year." 💯

Thank you so much for all your videos and knowledge! I truly appreciate that you offer it for free. Over the years, you’ve helped me manage my crushing anxiety, which often holds me back from taking action due to my fear of making mistakes. I try to learn from your experiences and videos and I think I have learned or reflected a few ideas from this video: 1 Relax, It’s okay to step out of my comfort zone and make mistakes; trying is more important than perfection.
2. Be Consistent: Progress is better than perfection, if you only aim for perfection you will never try, if you never try you will never get good at something, and learn how to enjoy the process —showing up, even on tough days, matters. 3. Take Action: I tend to overanalyze stuff, I will read a lot about something I want to do and I am hyped about doing it, but after reading and studying and seeing that it's not as easy as I thought it would be I get discouraged and never even tried the thing I was excited about. I need to focus on taking that first step, even if it feels challenging.

Thank you again for your videos, as always I love your animations and clean videos, you make it look easy, but I know there's a lot of hard work behind these videos. Also congratulations on your new baby!!!

This will probably also work very well for anxious people like me.
Not necessarily hiring the most productive person to take over my 'puppet' but a person who does not have anxiety regarding the things that I am anxious about.

In relating this to my own life, this is like making plans for the substitute teacher when you know you’ll get a good sub who will actually do the plan. Lightbulb moment!
