I married a woman from a broken home. Parents abandoned her, abused her, never said I love you, and even worse the step dad was a child molestor. I tried to fix her, she abused me daily for my mistakes, constantly yell get mad at me, she loved me but it was abuse, I left her after 2 years of trying, she improved maybe 10-20%. Couldn't fix her.

I took notes while listening, but they do not match the numbers in the video. These are my personal notes for my own use:
Red flags:
1. She uses flattery and flirting dishonestly
2. She has a very close male friend, lacks boundaries
3. She has too many "close" girl friends, especially if you dont like them
4. Overly posts on social media
5. Is a pick me (points out how she isnt like the other girls)
6. She is overly opinionated about other women when it has nothing to do with her
7. She can't cook and has little interest in learning to cook
8. She dishonors/disrespects her parents
9. She comes from a broken home (extremely rare for her to comeback)
10. Extreme animal/pet protection, or has too many pets
11. Unhealthy lifestyle - messy home, bad diet, no exercise, fat, no routine, substance abuse
12. She talks bad about exes, unprompted
13. She's vulnerable to flattery, abusable boundaries
14. Porn habit
15. You met her in a bad environment (your fault)
16. She's negative or contentious, finds things to complain or argue about
17. She considers career life before family life
18. She has no real hobbies/passions (or she uses them as bait)
19. She's poorly educated
20. She's lazy - happier doing trivial things (TV, social media) over something productive
21. She's more excited for the wedding than married life
22. She's a helicopter mom - wants to solve her children's issues rather than teach problem solving
23. She prioritizes the children above you
24. She's defensive, lacks a sense of humor
25. She's impolite and lacks manners
26. She's unwilling to leave her comfort (home, city, etc) for you
27. She's not submissive
28. She has no financial sense
29. She squanders money and lacks charity

Even for a man who like to cook (like me), if a girl can't cook and are note interested in eating good quality food it's a red flag for me. Because if I can't cook every day, she will have to do it sometimes, for me and my children, and I don't want that my children eat garbage food

Listening to this woman calms my spirit; it is clear she knows the LORD just by listening to what she says. I pray that I can be blessed enough to have a wife that's even half as beautiful. Women like this are very rare.

My ex-wife cannot cook and has no interest in learning. She struggles with significant insecurity issues and often behaves immaturely. Additionally, she does not show respect for her parents or her husband. She has also been diagnosed with multiple personality disorder. It was a hell marriage. The divorce was heartbreaking but I’m glad I got out.

"terrible family background/broken home" Been there. As long she didn't went thru a lot of trama therapy, soul searching, personal growth by herself. Avoid her, you can't fix her. The issue is, she will not do the necessary work during her prime years. This is why she is deemed as "lost" in many cultures.
So many Wisdom can be found in the old testament, its a shame that our fathers missed it to teach them to us. Now our generation have to pay the price.

I meet women, she's from the Philippines, and is very smart, cooking, cleaning, teacher, musician, and creating her small business.

She's the type of woman from proverbs

Dishonor parents is the same as forgive others. It doesn't mean allow them to harm you any further, but you must stand your ground in loving yourself. My father has been mentally abusive his entire life towards me. I don't dishonor him, but he needs to come to terms with the fact I will not allow him around the people I care for unless he changes his ways.

As a married man of 12 years, these are spot on. The list I’ve been through with my 3 sons, are literally, all these. Which are all, what their mother is NOT. So I have no doubt their future spouses, young ladies we’ve been praying for, since not only our sons infancy, but theirs too, will be exactly like their example of women, their mother, who models herself after the blessed Virgin Mary, as I do, St. Joseph.

Watching this, taking mental notes, while I am perfectly aware that I am not even close to the man our lord wants me to be, feels wrong.
I have to do a lot better to deserve a woman that doesn't suffer from any/most of these red flags.
