dwelling is my #1 all time favorite and im so glad I backed it. I thought the sound bases were dumb but I use them all the time and chuckle each time. Honestly just get everything for it. The minis are chunky, there arent a tons of them and they add to the experience a lot. Man this game rocks.

You're right....totally agree with you on Dwellings. Also right there with you on Merchants of the Dark Road and Highland Chronicles.

10:50 You hit the nail on the head. I have many games, that I supported on crowdfunding, that are unplayed - still! It's why I stopped supporting games on crowdfunding. To a certain extent. I still support Japanime Games, Pencil First Games and Dr.Finn Games WHEN they launch a kickstarter. It's perhaps three or four kickstaters a year. That I can manage.

But I still want to see if there is something interesting games out there that I haven't laid eyes on. And that's where you come in. 😁

Thank you for doing this video. 👍

I picked up a sealed copy of roll player adventures for about $100 from someone. It was a steal because the game is really fun! It doesn't scale well in late game and you feel overpowered, but it's still a good time.

Adventure Tactics is phenomenal! It quickly has become one of my favorite board games. One caveat, due to it being a table hog, I’d only recommend it to those with a big enough table to play it on (even if you’re playing solo). Other than that, it has one of the best leveling-up mechanics I have EVER played/seen in board game form.

Also, although it has a family look to it, there is plenty there for adults to enjoy with its combat, tactics and leveling-up. I don’t see the young ones having the foresight or caring to build a character in the way this game requires. I may be wrong, however. Definitely recommend to lovers of RPG’s!

I plan on picking up Roll Player Adventures because it seems very interesting but I have been getting in some long delayed KS and need to play them first.

I looked back at the Glen More II base game Kickstarter versus retail. Getting it retail was quite a bit cheaper even after accounting for the Loc Ness module that had to be purchased separately. When I looked at the Glen More II: Highland Chronicles Kickstarter I came to the same conclusion. I think you could save ~$20 by waiting for retail. Of course, you could save even more by just not buying it at all... The Bardwood Grove equation was a little different. If you just had to have the Kickstarter exclusives then you either had to back the Kickstarter or wait for someone to sell on the secondary market.

Isofarian Guard will be historical with the impact it makes.
Beyond tactics beyond Gloomhaven and beyond narrative of anything seen! Hype is real.

I'm on a hot streak.
Got bullet at ks.
Adventure Tactics and Isofarian guard.

I passed on Fjords, Eternal Palace, and Monster Hunter ks editions because they were all high priced without compelling extras. Eternal palace and fjords are both available for preorder now for much cheaper so I guess it was the right decision.

I have been enjoying your videos thank you. I bought Dwellings the delux version after the company reprinted a year ago. I was dissappointed and just didn't enjoy it despite it being a very well made production. I sold it which wasn't hard at all. Roll Players Advbentures, though, is one I am very interested in but have been debating between that one and Sleeping gods.

I want to try adventures tactics, but waiting for a retail sale on the base game.

My top two retail games will be siege 6 and Arydia. Maybe a final girl expansion or 2. Other than that i can't think of any others, but I'm sure a few other will be tempting! ;)

I am glad I backed Dwellings. I missed out on Bullet by Level99, but I am picking that up from their online store. After seeing how much fun Bullet was I instantly backed Sakura Arms. I love Exceed also and Battlecon. Actually, I don’t have any bad Level99 game. Empyreal Rails, Argent: The Consortium. I need to get the last 2 back to the table for additional plays. They were good based on my initial plays of them but need a few more plays to solidly confirm just how good they are.

I was on the fence with Dwellings and regretted not backing it. I really liked parts of the deluxe & legendary editions but for a worker placement game, I didn't think the miniatures were necessary. I ended up finding a cheap copy on BGG Market for the retail edition. After playing it I found it is a great game even without the miniatures. The monsters don't stick around long enough and it looks odd when they are next to the wooden meeples. (Might have even been cooler to have monster meeples as Skulk Hollow did now that I think about it) The extra gameplay content would be nice but I don't think it is necessary unless you really like it. *I would probably wait for a 2nd edition so that they fix the faction game trays so that you don't have to 3D print or find an alternative to the covers, those cardboard covers get destroyed pretty quick when popping them in, and out.

Dwellings is definitely one that I wished I had backed when it was on Kickstarter. Another one that I'm debating getting right now is dice throne adventures. It just came back in stock but the shipping cost from Roxley puts it at 110 bucks so I'm on the fence price wise

I've playtested a couple of game of Stationfall recently by myself, solo 2 handed, solo 4 handed and even tho the miniatures could be nice, I don't think they are needed. The teach is a bit complicated as there is a lot to explain, but the game and characters are so unique and I really like it. I really need to play this with people. I have not tried it, but there is a solo mode that comes with it. It probably plays best at 4+ imho.

The campaigns I am backing currently are Yucatan, Puzzle Strike and Dice Tower (Tom Vasel) KS. Yucatán is by Matagot….so it’s gotta be good right? Puzzle Strike reminded me of Bullet and I wasn’t going to make the same mistake and not back it like I did with Bullet. Besides Sirlin games make pretty good games and Radho’s run through showed mechanisms I would like.

Dwellings is great. It also has a great solo mode.

I have waffled on pre-ordering Tactics. Do I need another campaign game? How quick does it table? I think my kids would dig it.

None of these jumped out at me at the beginning of the video. But I just pulled the trigger on a copy of Cosmic Frogs, mostly on the ravings of some bald guy on YouTube, so I can hang back on any retail acquisitions. Ooooh Adventure Tactics, a game you can play at one level with your kids then ratchet up the difficulty with your game group? That sounds awesome. They should have been yelling that from the digital mountains. I don't have kids and my regular gaming group is just forming up and is pretty set at six. So this is a non starter.
Dwellings looks cool. But I am not a fan of games where a player's tableau is bigger than the board itself. Maybe that is just me. Look forward to what you have in mind for the Patreon backers.
