Thanks for stopping by to watch Back Chat! We're Amy & Maggie aka ThinkerThemer. We're an Australian couple with two very different perspectives of what makes a great board game - Amy (Thinker) is all about the mechanics and enjoys tight, competitive games, and Maggie (Themer) is all about the storytelling and the theme of the game, and the 'world' that the designer is trying to create. Subscribe to our channel to hear us talk about these two elements of a game, and how well integrated we feel these are in delivering a cohesive and wonderful game experience.

Thankfully this set also was a relief for the wallet for me....which of course I promptly spent on other games but oh well. And agreed a wet palette is a must have for those of us who have recently embarked on the mini painting journey just makes it so easy to stop and restart painting a project.

Thanks again for another informative Kickstarter video. I love the variety of games you are featuring.

I think Under Water Cities is better than Terraforming Mars. Should try that too.

I think it would be nice for wrap-up to give a summary on how many of the ten you backed. Like this fortnight we only backed X out of the ten etc.

Hello Thinkers and Themers everywhere! I tend not to back anything on Kickstarter, so Back Chat is usually more entertainment than information for me. However, you may tip me on one or two of these. Sound Box seems like a good small game, but I will wait until retail to consider it. The geometric art on Pilfering Pandas is simply gorgeous. Love that, but unsure on game play. Micro Dojo looks like a small, tactical game from a company doing things right. Might have to back just to reward them for a thoughtful job well done. And The Market has a Button Shy vibe that will always grab my attention. As for big ticket items that could be great, I just don't do it. When it comes to spending money, I'm less worried about FOMO than having NOMO. :-)

Yay for Keystone, looking forward to that game, soooo beautiful and the game play looks solid. The deluxe back seems like the way to go. Thanks for putting The Market on my radar. That 2-pack game bundle (so more can play) combined with their first game looks like an insta-back at the price point.

Thank you for mentioning the Redgrass Wet palette! I had not seen it and I would have been so bummed if I missed it! I am getting ready for Kingdom Death: Monster minis! Oh, I'm sending my postcard now...Love your vids, keep them coming.

Another awesome video from #ThinkerThemer! The Monday videos always make the start of my week better! Really sorry about the take two! I think I will be saving money this month! I Do have my eye on Keystone though and will continue to watch it! That seems to be the only one drawing me in. I will have to take another look at Mosaic though since I enjoy Terraforming Mars. (And one day you will too) 😁. Thanks again for doing this twice and still getting it out on Monday!

Keystone looks absolutely wonderful!! I'm really looking forward to that solo campaign and buying it as soon as it comes out. Also, not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but I think Brikks is the perfect Tetris-style roll and write game. It's exactly like Tetris. Thanks for another great video

Hey Amy & Maggie,

I didn't expect to make your radar, and if so to even be considered for an acknowledgement. Thank you so much.

I'm stoked and shared it with my followers on Facebook.

I really put in the effort to make The Market work, and I believe it's a solid project. Being indy is challenging and fun, as I'm sure you both know. You have come a long ways since you started.

I've been super bummed since before the launch that I hadn't gotten the international shipping bit figured out quite yet. I'm getting there. It's a growing process.

Nevertheless, here's to Hope for a better tomorrow.

Regarding The Market, I backed the designer's (Wesley Cone) previous Kickstarter: Empryean Hero that you mentioned. Wesley runs a really good campaign, produces the games in the U.S.A., and is very responsive to his customers. If you're open to giving a small designer and publisher a go, he's one to consider. Unfortunately, anyone outside the U.S. is limited to the print and play version.

Nothing I would back this week but I have just backed the expansion to Paris that was just launched. Bought the deluxe version of Paris on Amazon, enjoyed it and I'Etoile the expansion is on Kickstarter right now as well as the base set. It's a little expensive for a (very) small expansion but I figured its worth it. Oh, definitely agree with the using a wet palette for painting. I used a home-made one for bout a year then bought an Army Painter wet palette from Amazon last year. I just saw the news bout new covid cases in Melbourne, so stay safe!

I've been stuck on whether or not to back Mosaic. I was hoping Amy and Maggie would push me toward backing, but it look like we are in the same place. I would definitely opt for the version with miniatures, but it just seems a tad too pricey. Thanks for another great video!

Another fab episode. I really want the panda's... because.. panda's, but I'm on a KS ban now. Mosaic definitely looks dry graphically, but I always think of Ethnos and how ugly that looked, but it was a lot of fun. I really want Keystone.. but.. BAN! Thanks so much ladies!

I've been going back and forth myself on whether to get the wet palette that "wasn't mentioned" in the video. I normally make my own using a rectangular Tupperware bowl, wet paper towels and parchment paper, but I get tired of doing it and it stops me from painting as much as I probably would. If anyone hasn't tried it though, a wet palette will change your painting life. As far as games go, I jumped in at the last minute on Hopolomachus so my backing budget got blown for a little bit. This week was definitely some "slim pickings".

I feel the same way about Sound Box. It's the same reason we dont play Just One as much as we play Codenames.
