It is different with a team like West ham, and PEP has Learned this time from previous difficult West ham matches last season 3 matches one lose in the Care boa cup in pen-elites, one drew one Win. So i guess PEp will repeate this style with teams of similar style playing like Ceystal palace and southhampton who sets back with most of their players.

I think walker was kinda false 6. And pep stretched the formation for Haaland to get more space and take runs. Dias and ake were so comfortable in that deep defensive line.

Would like to see a comparison between Arteta's Arsenal and Pep's City at some point. Arteta obviously aims to replicate 2-3-5 but doesn't have the right offensive 8 in xhaka to pull it off perfectly. For the first 30 mins vs Crystal palace we got to see this formation in practice

my answer to this is to back off and not pressure the wings. grealish and foden will come in on stronger foot. and wont drive past. I would pin the dm with man marking and let their cbs have posseion. I would keep a narrow high line and counter with my full backs. a 433 with inverted wingers blocking passning lanes to their AM and dropping Cf. they are harmless with Grealish and would let them keep it there. and stay with runners from deep CM.
