Tina Baisya, a 14-year-old girl from Assam had significant pain and swelling in her left thigh. After investigations, she was diagnosed to have Ewing sarcoma of the thigh bone. It is a rare tumor that is commonly seen in the age group of 5-20 years. The tumor was so big that the doctors were worried she will land up with the removal of the leg. After chemotherapy, limb salvage surgery was performed successfully. The family of the patient thanked the doctors and staff of Narayana Health.
