3:20 That isn't true! You can change your gamepad's display in the options menu to show the same screen as the TV.

This is an example of a game that, to me at least, is beautiful. It doesn't matter how many polygons this game has and how many glare effects, this game looks stunning.

There is a option to play on the gamepad screen, It's just in the main menu before you play the game.

The similarity between this and tri isn't that large, just the areas and a few monsters:
Tri has 21 large monsters at best, with 2 being online only, while 3U has 51, 3 weapons not in Tri and the uneasy G-rank.

And not once was underwater battling mentioned.

Dunno, might be worth picking up a 3DS if you like MH, anyways. Seeing as how the upcoming MH4 is going to be a 3DS exclusive, as well.

This review is now outdated, they released the patch to play entirely on the gamepad screen.

On another note, this game has around 3 times as much content as tri did. I hate it when people compare the two like that.

I've played PC games. Not a whole lot, but some. Also, after looking it up online, I have heard of Half-Life before. I thought you were talking about Counter Strike Source as if it was the main title of the game, instead of just a subtitle. I've heard of half-life in general though, just not that subtitle version.

No option to play on the gamepad? There is an option under settings that lets you play on the gamepad, I do it all the time. Why would this guy rushed into saying there is no option for this, if there is?

Portable 3rd was only in japan and i played that game with the English patch and there was quite a few differences between tri ultimate and 3rd

Better Engine. Its still great game, but it is a quick cash in, possibly to fuel the funds for the next monster hunter, which is not a bad thing. BUT its still seen a lot by things like weapon, evironment, and monster clipping. Textures are grainy, and its sad to see because the game could look SO good if a little more time was given to these issues.

it's not that there's no games for wii u it's just, the guy who review this is older and grown out of the core audience that nintendo r good for, but adults and teens can enjoy games like pikmin and mario as its universal.

I don't think this reviewer made it very far in the game. All I saw was early level content in the video, and he was also mixing armor sets.

believe me when you actually play you feel every hit. I play this game on the PSP(no rumble/vibration) and I still feel every hit from a greatsword or hammer or any weapon in the game really. Just try it if you haven't already and the demo does a really bad job of selling the game.

Css isn't the biggest shooter anymore, not since a long time. Cod and battlefield have taken over.
Additionally, Tri is now out-dated. There is tri g, p3rd and tri 2g ( ultimate) for you to enjoy, and mh4 is just around the corner. Capcom kept the servers going for a reasonable amount of time now, and the player count quickly fades away since the release of newer titles.

I enjoyed Tri much more than this game...and I have no idea why. I'm not sure if it's the difficulty as there are times where this game feels too easy, but also times where it seems harder than Tri, so...idk. I feel like I'm slogging through stuff I've already done but I don't think it's because I've been through it all already in Tri. Maybe it is the easy difficulty.

One thing is for sure, port quests need player scaling...either monsters take too long to solo (battles of attrition) or they go down too easily and quickly in a group. This is very simple coding that I would have thought Capcom would have implemented by now.
