What I find funny about Kabru and Laios is that in this, Kabru has the layering showing his increasingly complicated thought paths, then everytime Laios *does* something, it restarts, returning to one layer, before it continues layering as Kabru reacts to it, thus showing how no matter what Kabru thinks, Laios' stark simplicity and authenticity just shatters his ability to play the social chessgame, because Laios isn't just playing checkers, he's just... not playing any game at all

God i love the dynamic between laios and kabru!!! Kabru is intensely interested in people for his own survival and success, while Laios is intensely interested in monsters and life, just because it's interesting to him. Both are relatable, but they're polar opposites in many ways!! It's honestly one of the reasons why my favourite manga/anime is dunmeshi and will stay that way until I die, probably lol
By the way, your art is gorgeous!! Ioved the layering of frames, it really helped put depth and intensity to the animatic!! (The song's a banger too, holy jesus. Mad props for all your choices :D )
