I was an Army brat who lived in Germany as a kid. Grew up speaking Scwabischer dialect German, wore lederhosen, etc.. In the mid '80's my parents went traveling. Asked for lederhosen. Mom bought me some and mailed them to me. I got some strange looks from people when I wore them. Had some drunk girls say they liked men in leather shorts.
