Making a UK Legal EDC (everyday carry) folding knife out of 01 tool steel. To be UK legal to carry the knife must have a blade of less than 3 inches, be non-locking, and not be a fixed blade.

The process involved inital stock removal using a hacksaw & 1inch belt grinder, drilling 3.5mm holes that will later recieve pins and creating 2 bevels using a filing jig w/ a bastard file. I also sanded the blade to 180 grit to remove any file marks, as it is much easier to do at this stage than after heat treat. Also fyi the blade at its edge is about 1.5mm thick going into the heatreat.

& also I would really appreiacte if you liked the video, shared it & subscribed to my channel - it helps me a lot!

That grinding/sharpening jig is great! I had no idea there were that many stipulations to what kind of knife you can carry.

Another relaxing video before I hit the sack.
You are a natural craftsman. You've got way more patience than me, as I've said before, I'd just go buy one, but you've also more time, and few(er) responsibilities being a young fella.

I can just sense you love making things - anything - and that shows passion. Passion = contentment, so I hope you go on to do what YOU enjoy and not what the environment forces you into. Follow your own path and all will be good in life.
Great track by the way, please put a link in for your music, its only fair to the artist too.
It kind of reminds me of Roy Harper, check him out if you are into this sort of music and it's not just for effect on your videos. A bit folky and old for your age lol, but a cracking artist - he even had a track devoted to him by Led Zeppelin.

One bit of advice though - whether its legal over there in Pommie-land or not - don't carry it. Avoid the situations where you need it.

I'm looking forward to Part 2 - I just hope it doesn't involve ruining your Mum's kitchenware / appliances!
