I Went Over the Bars at My Last XC Race of the Season

Join me for the final round of the 2024 406 XC series at Last Chance Raceway in Helena, Montana. I was sick as a dog leading up to this race and went in with the points lead in the A class. My parents were in town and came to watch me race for the first time ever. Come along as I struggle through my first lap and then slowly pick it up over the course of the 2.5-hour race to successfully complete the 406 XC series. Thanks to everyone who has followed along for the entire race season!

Way to be. The good season end finish don't come on the easy days. The hard days are when the championships are won. Good support from the fam. You serious looked pretty beat at the finish. Def. left it all out there. Nothing worse that getting stuck in any sort of heat and struggle to zap your energy. It takes a while to recover, but not quitting and keep pushing is the way. You did that. I once DNF'd an enduro, but finished the course. I houred out and didn't realize it on the last checkpoint. It was super muddy and was doing well until a mishap in the mud. Got me way off time. I didn't stop though. I was pretty mad at the finish... loaded up my bike and drove the 5 hrs home. Was shocked for two reasons when my friends called and said they had my trophy. I got fifth place in class. Shocked that I got a plaque, but also that they had trophies that far back! They had to look at times for folks that hour'd out for trophies. There were lots and it was tough day. You never know what kind of day your competition is having so keep pushing. They could have just have off day same as you. That is probably one of the coolest trophies I have. They all come with a story, but that came with a lesson and a story!

That's what champions are made of, never give up, push through whatever is standing in your way and give it everything you've got, there are no good days without bad ones, struggles are what keeps things in perspective, all the things you deal with when racing the good and the bad carry over in to every aspect of life, Congrats on clinching the championship you deserve it because you earned it, outstanding job, much respect.
