This was one of the best parts to me because it was foreshadowed earlier by the leader of the survivors. They also sent evidence back then. So it would make sense that they went through this lawyer too. And then we have this scene where they accuse him of not doing more but we find out he's doing the best he can. He could've done more more but they burried it. And then spoiler alert but when we found out it was Robby who had burried it the dread just collapsed. Even those that try to do good sometimes make mistakes or have to choose between 2 evils. This movie doesn't just apply to child raping priests. So many things have a "system" that protects bad people

This small facial expression change from Billy Crudup might be one of my favorite showings of subtle facial acting I have seen in recent memory. This entire time, you are imaging this guy is a greedy and unethical lawyer as described by Keaton's character. But as soon as Keaton expresses this to the lawyer, he blinks in disbelief looking Keaton up in down with his eyes alone; his expression saying, "Is this guy for real?!". His response too is just full of disgust, anger, and disappointment; him coming to the realization how deep rooted these issues are within the community. Fucking love this movie

When you see the trailer, Eric comes across as a villian, but when you see the movie and learn about the real person, you see that he did what he could to help those victims within the boundaries of the law.

This scene is so interesting. We’re all conditioned to hate these prick attorneys from multinational law firms, but suddenly it all gets turned around when MacLeish turns out to have much more depth than previously thought and the Globe hasn’t been an innocent bystanders. This film is, among other things, about a bunch of otherwise ethical people who dropped the ball.

Billy Crudup in this movie is one of my favorite minor performances ever and I'm not sure why. I love the stereotypical sleazy lawyer lowkey turning out to be one of the few (sort of) decent people in this story.

My favorite scene from Billy in the movie was "check your God damn clips Robbie" you can feel the weight of having to fight this fight alone for so long and everyone else is barely starting to care. Would be frustrating
