When the Steam Deck first arrived, I was not particularly impressed. The 800p resolution didn’t excite me, especially since my Nintendo Switch offered a similar experience. The media was buzzing about the numerous issues and bugs plaguing the Steam Deck. Many people warned against purchasing a device from Valve due to their track record with hardware, aside from the Valve Index. However, when Valve announced the Steam Deck OLED, boasting significant improvements and a stunning display, my curiosity got the better. Now, after six months, I’m ready to share my thoughts. One of the first things you’ll notice about the Steam Deck OLED is its ergonomic design. The joystick and button placement feel natural, making it comfortable, especially compared to the Nintendo Switch.
