Great review, Ty. Never really ever heard of Vevor before you began to review them. These are particularly interesting in that they are deep sockets.

Just bought the vevor shallow and deep sae sets off Amazon and they not only came in a black case but were roll stamped as well which I am happy about.

I put a regular socket in a powerful impact when I was in a pinch. Exploded. Couldn't find half of it. A piece hit my buddy in the face. Good times.

I spent $71.07 on this today 8/16/2023 and I honestly hope these are atleast up to Pittsburgh or harbor freight standards cause they are cheap and it came with alot more sockets than I expected for that price considering if I go ask my cornwell dealer to sell me the missing 31mm out of this set he will charge me probably $60 or so for that 1 socket so I think these will be just fine and work perfect for the price

These seem to be decent sockets for the money. The fact that there is no company name stamped on them makes me think they are made in one place and sold under different brands. Even the cheap HF sockets have Pittsburg stamped on them.

It kind of appears Grey Pneumatic or Cornwell set the trend of blue blow molded socket boxes and nearly every asian manufacturer gave up on the sheet metal trays and boxes soon thereafter

I have the sunex 3/8 metric set. Shallow, deep, and wobble, all three 7-24 i believe. Then you get a 3" extension and wobble adapter. I believe i paid 155. They dont have the chamfer on the drive end, not a huge deal but it can be a pain sometimes getting the socket on the tool quickly. I never really realized how much of a difference the chamfer on the drive end makes until i got the sunex set and noticed it is more fiddly to get it set on the tool if you're not looking and doing it by feel when you're under a car or whatever. The chamfer really does help w quicker engagement more than you'd think. Especially new impacts or new hog rings it can get frustrating sometimes. Ball detents are much better for these, and im sure once the hog ring wears it will be easier/quicker. Thats really the only down fall i see with the sunex set. Not a huge deal, just would be nice to have that feature. Pretty much the same plastic case as this only you have 2 lockin tabs on the side as well. The fronts are the same as these sets and they do pop off here and there. The side ones are the same as the back hinge and im sure will eventually wear out. Over all a good set for the money if you want the wobble sockets and dont mind the thicker collars/drive end of the wobble since they are pinned vs pinless.

Impact sockets by nature are softer than chrome sockets so they won't shatter and take your eyes out! My well used SO impacts mushroom just like all other brands. It is that way by design. I don't like that these don't have stamped in sizing marks. Even my cheap ones have that. It is always nice to have every tool you need but at some point do you really need every tool there is? I used to think so myself. After going to many auctions of deceased people it is a downer how many tools people who could afford them never used but a few out of large sets like this.

I have Sunex 1/2 drive 19 pieces SAE standard Impact sockets, 26 metric deep impact socket set, and the 26 pieces metric Impact socket set. I am not sure about the deep socket set since they are not that deep. Only the 32 33 34 36mm have much deeper broach, all the others are only about 3/4 inches deep. I also have 1/2 Clutch 10-24mm, which are the true deep broach.

I would rather have the size stamped on each socket than having each in its own little baggie.

I work In petrol chemical plants. Due to the high heat conditions and elements nuts tend to rust and seize up. I debated on these and run the risk of them exploiting and injuring myself or partner plus having a dropped object from working at heights and came to the conclusion of paying 150 bucks more and purchasing proto set from grainger industrial supply

I reject any set that skips sizes. Large chrome lug nuts the chrome can break off. Or striped going to diferent size may help. And who knows what I work on..

I am happy with my vevor set..

Buy cheap, replace expensive. Probably the best strategy to buying tools.
