EJ: This may be the MOST important video I have ever seen for my work. I create virtual packaging of products to show buyers. (Walmat) My intention is to get the products to look as real as possible before we have to expend money to make them. Especially for mockups. Our inexpensive packaging are Polybags. Clear bags that get a paper label stapled to the top. I have been struggling since I got Cinema 4D to simulate a polybag that conforms to the items inside. I have to try this to see if it does what I need, but it looks like it will do exactly what I need. Thank you in advance.

i realized that you're on a mac, and yet you have that GTX 1080 running and an octane render. what a set up. i was looking for it but never found any tutorial about using external GPU on an imac. I always watch your tutorial simply because the explanation is very clear. i watched all those tutorials but when it comes to rendering it always end up using octane. i wanna learn octane so bad, but again i'm on imac with Radeon.

This video definitely helped understand cloth a lot. But I'm finding the same thing happens that always does. The instructor has a perfect result and I end up with glitchy, ugly problems nom matter how high I turn up the steps.

Thanks for another fantastic tutorial. 👍 Can I ask, what spec Mac are you using? Also, one other question, maybe you could do a vid on this but which renderer do you prefer? Arnold or Octane?

Pro tip: if you get bad intersections it's likely due to messy geometry of the collider object (happens often with photoscans). Just drop your object in a volume builder/mesher, and have that be a hidden collider. Problem solved.

Man it would be so nice if C4D utilised all cores or even better - GPU, right now this rather simple simulations is soooo painfully slow. It feels like this should be working realtime or faster. Thanks for the tut ))
