I hope it's good, but I can only ask "Why?" Gladiator never needed a sequel. It was a perfectly self contained loosely-historical story and an outstanding movie. I heard about some concept "sequel" where Maximus is reincarnated because "the Gods chose him to fight again, " and that was too out bizarre from how grounded the first film was. We've seen what happens when Ridley Scott creates sequels he shouldn't have.
