Cheapest 4TB SSD for your M1 Max MacBook Pro - Could be better than a 1TB to 4TB Apple Mac upgrade
Показать описание
How to build and external SSD drive, cheapest 4TB SSD for your M1 Max MacBook Pro. Could be a better option than a 1TB to 4TB Apple Mac upgrade if you don't need the speed of NVMe.
This is the cheapest way to get 4TB of SSD storage for your M1 Max MacBook Pro externally on USB C. It also works with the M1 Pro MacBook Pro and most other Mac computers, Windows PCs, Linux PCs and anything that's USB C that will access an external storage drive.
To keep the costs down this is a self build external 4TB SSD that's very easy to build and put together. It's just a SATA to USB C enclosure that accepts a 2.5" SATA SSD drive and a SATA SSD. The drive enclosure is tool-less and is made by Antec and the SSD being used is a 4TB Samsung 870 QVO.
While not being the fastest SATA SSD for writing, the read speeds are about the same as most SATA SSD drives. Making this the cheapest and most cost effective solution for adding 4TB of external SSD storage for your Mac.
