Thanks for the raw experience of studying and passing Microsoft Azure exam certs.... I couldn't decide between AWS or Azure but... I think you gave me a slight nudge towards Azure mainly because of the Linux implementation... so thank you for making my road map from CCNA - Azure a lot more clearer :-)

AWS is more than twice as big as Azure, the 2nd largest competitor. There are significantly more jobs for AWS than Azure, and that will continue to the be the case, as AWS is just so much better in their offerings and pricing than anyone else.

Microsoft puts forward a better learning platform and its free. AWS on the other hand basically makes you mess around with a free level account and hope you don't run up a bunch of charges accidentally, and I totally agree with one comment on the live stream: an entire episode on beard care.

Azure is the best thing Microsoft has ever had. I think in the future Windows will faze into a cloud based feature under Azure. Your computer will come with a pre installed Linux where you connect to Azure to use Windows. Buy a bew computer, logg into Azure and you are ready.

Java in the cloud: There are some pretty important tools in the cloud build in Java, one of them is "Elasticsearch" and all his "parts".
In GCP there is "Google Cloud Data Fusion" that is also built in java.

I'm currently working on a game server for myself and some friends to use, so I'm actually trying out Azure to deploy the game server so it's pulling double duty, learning azure and having a functional game server to enjoy
