You denied the forced evolution of Synthesis and the lust for Control. Instead, you destroyed the Reapers and gave the galaxy the chance to build its own future on the path that they desire, instead of a predetermined path set up by a higher power.

Legion and the "True" Geth did the same before the events of Mass Effect 1. (Hence the Heretic conflict)

This will always be my ending because I wanted Shepard to survive.

I just wish that BioWare made it so that if you had an insanely high EMS of something like 7000 (which I actually managed to get) then it was possible to fine tune the destroy wave so that it didn't kill the Geth or EDI who was one of my favorite characters.

I'm just a sucker for a happy ending.

I think the 'destroy' ending is the only ending that is true to what Shepard set out to do from the very beginning. 'Control' was the Illusive man's goal and we both know he and Shepard don't see eye to eye. And 'synthesis' just feels so wrong (IMO).

I really feel sad for the Geth and EDI, but the Reapers had to be destroyed, at any cost. Their sacrifices will be remembered in a galaxy free of the Reapers.

this is the ending i chose. I tend to believe its the best for my mind.Why ? well because even though EDI was a synthetic live i felt the line by Hackett "We can rebuild everything that was destroyed ..all of this and MORE " could suggest she can be save and rebuilt along with the Geth. Plus she developed the "will to live" if you will when she had talked to Shepard along those lines, so who is to say maybe she was aware what was to come and found a way to protect her self, to survive in some way. Some loop holes there that could be filled and expanded on. As well when Liara bonded and share that moment of memories and stuff with Shepard she could have become connected to Shepard in such a strong way that when she smiled and does not place his name on the board she "senses' he is alive via a strong connection. My believe and happy ending and i, m sticking to it .:P

I had the perfect ending as well, Liara was my romance all the way from ME1 thru ME3, and Shepard survived and I destroyed those Reaper fucks. Perfect ending to a perfect trilogy... and Liara found Shepard and they lived happily ever after with blue babies all around them lol

when I told tali to build a home, I meant for us. I destroyed those reaper bastards and got home to Tali. she more than likely led the mission to find me ^-^

10:15 The way Liara's face lights up with a smile makes me think that she knows that commander Shepard lived since he romanced her in this play through and she has joined with him, so maybe she could have sensed his life force, just a nice thought since it shows he lives right after that part

This ending will always be canon.
Synthesis was Sarens goal. Ain't no way I'm following that. Control was Jack Harper's (IM) goal.
Of course it's sad that you lose EDI and Legion (Geth), but as Hackett said, "everything can be rebuilt"
The new trailer practicality confirms the destroy ending is the Canon ending bc if the reaper corpses.
Plus shepard lives too. It fits the stargazers "one more story about the shepard"

The destroy ending is the true ending. That was Shepard goal from the beginning till the end. The synthesis is sarens idea and the control is illusive man idea.

This ending is awesome! Not only the galaxy survives and reclaims its former glory, but Shepard survives. BioWare says that the Destroy ending is meant to imply that Shepard and his love interest reunite in the end.
