My travel camera kit is currently comprised of the insta360 one x & the gopro hero 7 + my iphone & dji mavic air drone. Thats all i pretty much need. However, i could see myself adding the insta360 GO for one simple reason. Clipping it to my shirt or backpack strap for quick spontaneous recordings while traveling. I like the simplicity of it. And to have it always there to quickly tap & capture a scene or moment that is unfolding is kinda cool. Plus it is very stealthy. I could walk around a street market in hong kong lets say and not draw any attention to the fact that i am filming. That could come in handy.

I love my GO, but I agree when you say the music gets old. It needs more variation; great if you could create and share your own templates based on the music you like. For action scenes, I took mine skiing, and realized how vulnerable it is in cold temperatures. Stops working very quickly, and you can't even shut it down before the battery drains itself. That said, I am definitely capturing more footage thanks to this, so thumbs up for Insta360, and looking forward to seeing more updates!

Great review Sarb, yes the biggest short coming is the button for sure - soooo annoying especially if you are pressing it more than once. I found quick capture the most reliable but even then it’s not easy to press - why couldn’t they put the button that’s on the back just on the front and make it simple - they’ve over complicated where they didn’t need to. And also I too am wondering already whether I’ll bother to shoot with it as much as I intended. I’ve also had issues with flash cut where it leaves slot holders empty saying there isn’t enough footage when there clearly is.

I agree completely about the flaws. I used to capture some cycling and it's really hard to get the button pushed down for recording while wearing it on the magnet necklace. I missed quite a few takes with this problem. Ultimately I had to lift the camera off the magnet, press the button then place it back on the magnet. Very awkward to do with cycling gloves and had to edit out my hands turning it on. I also had an issue with fingers in my shots. I did like the editing features and thought it was really easy to figure out but was disappointed that I could not import my own music to use. Really surprised that it didn't have that feature. Hi Sarb, have you experience in dismantle insta360 go? Actually I would like to make in black but thinking either paint in black or open plastic cover and put in something black in front under the cover. What do you think?

I totaly agree with you. I hate the button . I do paragliding and want to take clips now and then. I press the button and after I am so excited to see the clip. And there is nothing or a extremely short clip on my fingers. Impossible to use phone to start recording when I fly. Otherwise it is a fun camera. Hope that they fix this to next gen

I'm using it for FPV 5 minute chucks. I don't have enough space on my iPhone (16gigs nearly all taken up by lousy apps) so....Can I export a file directly out of the camera into Premiere Pro? I want to bypass the app altogether! I need the ability to edit the footage in a professional edit program.

Hey, great video. I have no experience in using cameras to capture action videos at all, but like the idea of recording some of my mountain biking adventures. With its stabilization, short clip length (I obviously know nothing about editing) and it being easy to attach to clothing etc, would you recommend this little camera for short clips of outdoor adventures to a complete noob, or is there something you would recommend over this? Great review. The Insta360 Go app may be good for you but on my Android Pixel3A it crashes so often it is barely usable.

I've just purchased my Insta360 Go 4 days ago, and I love it. I purchased it mainly because I love hyperlapses. However, I've been noticing something about the quality of the Hyperlapse videos (I haven't try any other function i.e. normal video). I've been noticing that the quality of the video in the Insta360 Go App is quite better than the final quality once you export the video to the phone. Also, when I just export the video without any edition, and compare it with the same not-edited video in the App, the video in the App looks sharper and with a little more contrast. Moreover, if I edit a hyperlapse video changing the speed, the final exported video looks worse than exporting the original video and then change its speed in post (using another editing software). I would like to ask if you have seen this behavior and if is there a way to export the video with the quality seen in the Insta360 Go App. Thank you very much for your review and I hope you the best!! I just ordered the insta360 one x. Just wondering if I can just record using one of the lens and hang the camera on a necklace strap so it can act like this insta360 go?
