Don't Starve Together Guide: Tallbird Fortress Farming

Welcome to our first ever tutorial video in the wonderful world of, Don't Starve Together! Seeing as many folks over the past few days have asked about our little Tallbird farm in our current DST world, Beard thought it could be a good idea to show how to go about starting one yourself! Also, the tallbirds can only target a single enemy at a time and will focus on that intruder until it's dead. this means you can trap a lone rabbit in some walls in the middle of the fortress and the tallbirds will never get angry at you, since they are already targeting the rabbit. this makes the farm much safer and easier to use.

oooh, easy way to accumulate Tallbird Eggs. As a non spoling pretty good food item, I like to leave some in a backpack or chest near each touchstone, along with a modicum of supplies (and usually a lightning rod to prevent unfortunate burning)

Oh wow, it's incredibly cool to see how much your presentation style has changed in such a short time! It's much more unique to you now and far more engaging. Not that this is bad, it's just clear you hadn't quite found your stride yet! I led the Deerclops through the Tallbird Fortress. He killed most of the Tallbirds and destroyed most of the rock before they killed him for me. Ended up with a metric ton of meat, tallbird eggs, and rock

Be careful storing the spoils of bird-ocide. Pengulls will snatch any(!) egg laying on the ground, so keeping the eggs during winter requires chests or extra cautiosness

I actually cleared the Tallfort with the help of Deerclops, but the hardest part was making walls around all the eggs fast enough after they were all killed (and before they respawned). I also did not have enough rocks to build stone walls around each egg, so I just ended up making 1 big wall for the rest of them. Didn't help that I also got a hound attack right after Deerclops.

I actually always avoid Tall Bird, I think they look creepy and I always hate the image of huge eyes, this is why I also hate Lureplant. I started using this method to farm them now I think they're adorable lol

Hey the Beard, great video. I've had the tallbird set piece in RoG. Normally just run dogs, spider queen, tree guards, whatever is chasing you to tallbirds. I'm in Hamlet right now playing as Walani. When I got taken to Roc island. I had a nasty surprise, the tallbird set piece is there and its right in between the Roc nest & the cave entrance. Other than brute force or running for my life. Not sure what to do with them. Thanks for videos & have a great day.

Damn, 2018 Beard has a really soothing voice. I wish there was more people who sound like this since a lot of people sound like fortnite youtubers like Ali-A and Jelly, and that's not really a joke, it's actually quite true. i loove this setpiece! once the eggs hatch and grow into teenage tallbirds they will group up against the adults and u can pick up all the loot!
