Don't Starve Together | Tallbird Farm & Tall Scotch Eggs | Guide

In this video, we'll be covering how to make a tallbird farm, from raising them to relocating them to even getting more food than you’ll ever need. Making a Tallbird farm isn’t easy, but with enough patience, you can set up one of your own and you won’t regret it. This guide is meant for really late game world, but i still believe it can be of good use.

This farm could also be made using Winona’s catapults. You would make the pen out of statues, to fence off the Tallbirds, and set up a few catapults out of the pen. The only problem that I have with this, is that it’s character specific, meaning you NEED a Winona in your world. It’s still a very valid way to do it though and would give you access to a great food source a bit early on if you had a Winona or you didn’t mind the use of the celestial portal to pick and swap characters.

I originally made this farm in my world and I've been using it every chance I get! Tall Scotch Eggs are such a great food item and being able to farm them conveniently has changed my playstyle so much. Pair with the new Polar Bearger Bin, I always have a great food source at hand whether it be for hunger or healing. Decided to make this guide to spread the word and try to make this food item a bit less obscure to obtain!

if you want a non rift version, I suggest the bunnymen method. 1-2 tallbird nests in one small pen, and 3 bunnymen huts separated from the nests by a fence. Collect periodically; for more information, there was another guide on it.

You can use Hondious, about 2-4, . It will take more time to kill the birds but surely you won't be locked by the rift spawn cycle anymore.

It doesn’t seem like those tall birds will attack walls? If so I might just use another houndius shootius, I’ve been really into them lately. I have one on a boat next to my farm since the bright shade plants can’t do water.

what mode was used in this video? because in the past, no bird that had just been born or left its nest was building a new nest. I thought it was just something specific to (moles) is it due to the new update ?

I wonder one thing, in my long worlds i sometimes stumble upon teen or small birds spawning on the locations i haven't been in for a while from egg in a tallbird nest. Do you think its possible to grow tallbirds/teenbirds on their own from eggs outside of your character loaded area without the need to feed them? OR at least without small bird part, cause i don't remember if extra tallbirds do spawn this way
