This is by far my favorite cruiser. Mine is an early model, but still runs like a champ.

They did an amazing job with the engine. The only thing that the Raider and Roadliner/Stratoliner needed to be great was a 6 gallon gas tank and a nice 6 speed transmission.

Yamaha Raider is a beast of a bike. I have one of the first ones made. Bought it in December of '07. I have just over 101k miles on it and very few problems. Had to replace the fuel pump housing about 5 or 6 years ago. Other than that, no real problems other than wear and tear (fork seals, etc.)

My work car has a 1.6 makes 120hp and weights 2800lbs so yea that bike would drag me backwards I’m sure.

My 2009 Raider bought new in 2012 has averaged 42.4mpg over 33, 641 miles as of last week. For a period of time when I could get non-ethanol premium, I was in the 44-45 mpg range. It's an awesome bike.

I did a 1300 Stryker partial restoration earlier this year. That thing had some get up and go, I can only imagine the 1900 in this. Nice content. 😎🏁

They have the big bore kit. It bumps the 113 to 120ci😱

I have an 09 Raider that stacks up well against other air cooled big twins. Unfortunately it doesn't hold a candle to any of my M109R's. Cool bike, but it's still second string to the M109R. Love them both for different reasons.

I think it wold be awesome to see your review on the Yamaha Bolt, it looks like a sweet ride. it has 942 cc (57.5 cu in) 4-stroke air-cooled V-twin and it looks beautiful

Thanks for the video and words of wisdom. I like it, but not the angular mirrors. If everything else on the bike is rounded or sweeping curves the mirrors should be too. So a friend of mine has a Shelby GT Mustang and always wanted to race my modest 750. I said you would win. But I could beat him with this right? I want three things on my next upgrade. I like Harley's but don't want an ocean liner type bike. 1.) I want a basic cruiser with lots of power. 2.) I want pegs that don't drag if I take a corner with hard bank. 3.) I want gear indicators on the gauge. Does this have that?

I have an 08 Raider it’s a great bike my daily rider!
Yes, My car is a 1.2 L Chevy Spark now my bike engine is quite larger than my car engine.
These Raiders are really reliable. They crank slow because the starter is geared low so the battery can turn over this beast.
Yes, they are fast you get into top gear fast and the ride is firm.
I have had numerous bikes this is my favorite!

My first bike was a Yamaha virago 750. My last bike Yamaha virago 1100. I haven’t been on a bike in far too long. I’ve been looking at getting something again and getting back in the saddle. It’s interesting how the bike that caught my attention out of everything I could get is the Yamaha raider. Of course I get this, it’s gonna have to be completely customized and rebuilt from the ground up. Might as well get what I want.

My dream bike but it's been yrs since I rode. Considering starting with the V-Star 650. Any recommendations will be appreciated...

Sean, I bought the 1303 Stryker after I watched a sample ride you did on a red Yamaha Stryker. It was a great video/test ride.

Remember back when they used an 80ci(actually 1340cc) to power VW Beetle, and better than the car engine it came this engine powering a Bug

I've considered putting floorboard on my Dyna

Yamaha not only uses the same engine, but in the Stryker and the others that use the Stryker 1300cc engine the used the same piston.... they're just a shorter stroke
