Tan Oaks After the Butler Creek Burn

Some areas of the 2015 Butler Creek burn saw higher intensity fire, other areas had a hard time staying lit. Some areas of the tan oak stands burned hot, burning up buggy as well as good acorns from this year along with the duff layer. Many good and buggy acorn remain on the forest floor throughout.
