How to Cut a Jackfruit

so many people commenting this is the wrong way to cut it, but don't say what's wrong about it and what the correct way is. y'all commenting that should at least say what is "correct" to you, better yet make a video.

Thanks for this video. Using this method next jackfruit!!! I just watched a video by a gentleman from India and he cut it in half then sliced long ways, not much different than yours. I don't get why everyone is saying its wrong, Id just use any that were cut first snd make some vegan fajitas! No harm done!

This isn't "wrong" per se but the method where you cut a spiral on the outside is way easier for getting the pods off the core. Basically you peel the skin off in a strip and the pods are either stuck to the skin or the core and you just easily pull them off without any more cutting. Tons of videos on here showing that way.

You don’t know how much of a pain this fruit is and this made it ten times easier and can’t stress enough WHEAR GLOVES OR OIL ITS MAD STICKY

That knife really is something. 😅 instead of small cuts, remove that part completely. It’s easier that way. And you can eat yellowish tendon kinda stuff, those are my favorite. Don’t eat white ones.

I use olive oil to cut a jackfruit, it is soo sticky when you first cut it open

You should cut the top out, so it's easier to peel :)

If you drink water right after eating too much ripe jackfruit it can give you a stomach ache
