It's weird but I never seemed to have any problems with the talking animals in the first Narnia movie? Like that movie literally had talking beavers, wolves, foxes, and even a lion, and yet they all seemed far more expressive than the ones in the new Lion King.

To a small degree, I agree. The remake overall was satisfying, yes it's not as good as the original.

The animals faces could've been a little more expressive (little like andy serkis mowgli) while still maintaining the realism. But to go in the direction of the artist deepfake is too close looking to the cartoon, why not just watch the animated movie instead. To be truthful people are heavily misguided when it comes the this remake.

The remake isn't all the problem, it's how everyone critically made it to be. This Lion king retells the same story in realistic style which makes it different from the OG, like the Broadway. It brings in it's own energy of real life like nature, not the cartoon.

This remake has to be approached differently, these animals do emote, but not the same way humans do. "Look beyond what you see." - Rafiki. One more thing, be glad it's the same story we know and love and you can enjoy it differently because it's the Lion King, because if the story was changed, you would still be disappointed.

To be honest, I found this horrifyingly creepy. The photo realistic version is a lot better but the original animation will ALWAYS be better.

These redesigns are creepy af, also it's supposed to be a realistic version of TLK with realistic looking animals, so having them like this just ruins the whole point of the "live action".... ;-;

I actually think those fan ones are super creepy. I liked the way they did it, though I do agree Scar could have been designed a bit better.

Although the visuals of the live action Lion King are jaw dropping and impressive as it pertains to realism, it lacked the strengths of traditional animation. In animation conveying a character's personality traits through a wide range of facial expressions and gestures is a limitless feat. Animation can be so great that if the voice acting is sub-par it makes up for it with an exaggerated larger than life presentation.

Sorry if this is out of line to ask but I thought Sally was moving back home and quitting youtube? I swear I watched a video on her channel about it. However the video no longer seems to be there. Whatever the case I hope Sally is doing well because she has always been an awesome person.
