I just got this snare yesterday and I love it. It's even more beautiful in person. The sound is powerful and the snare has body along with sensitivity. This snare is more bang for your bucks. This probably be one of the best snare drum in the s.l.p. line as well as as any other line.

Please do a review of the Tama signature Ronald Bruner snare. There are basically no sound samples of the snare anywhere yet. Tama needs to release an official promo video for it.

Beautiful, but prefer the Tama SLP G Maple 13 x 7” but both sound great.
This is best on high tuning.

Beautiful Snare.. but doesn't sound that great in this video. Sounds like he's hitting the top of a cardboard box. This snare drum should be fine tuned better. Bass Drum sounded awesome, as well as the Toms. Just my opinion and personal taste.

Very nice drum. Excellent low tuning (considering thickness of the shell), but too ringy, it needs muffling for clean studio sound. Sadly, I have no more confidence for Tama's too shallow snare beds.... I my opinion the best S.L.P. snare is studio maple with wood hoops....and G-bubinga the prettiest.

Put on a pair of maple hoops and I might think about it! For now it is way too ringy, that’s not a match for the Starclassic g-maple! The finish is quit nice though!
