Exploring Dinting Railway Centre Site - abandoned disused closed museum - Urbex Glossop

A look around the remains of Dinting Railway Centre in Glossop.

The museum was operated by the Bahamas Locomotive Society between 1968 and 1991 and was housed in the former engine shed and some former station buildings, all which now lie abandoned and derelict.

Just been onto the site today walking the dog, looking at the state of everything now i dont think it’ll be getting saved unfortunately.

Real spooky now walking through the old shed and seeing partially collapsed building dotted about.

I never visited there but I used to read about it a lot in The Railway Magazine. Such a shock to see what has happened to it and the loss of the Woodhead line has meant a great loss of railway history in the area. A great video showing what now exists, many thanks.

As a Northern driver based as Picc. We're up there all the time but I've never actually been to explore all the derelict buildings. Good job on the video, a lot of railway heritage up that way
