just two things that everyone here should know: firstly, quasi stars don't currently exist, it's a theoretical star that may have existed when the universe was once formed. secondly, if we replaced the sun with a quasi star, just half of its size would reach all the way to pluto.

UY Scuti is about 9, 000 light years away from us. If it was only 5.2 light years away as you say at 1:42 (which is only 1 light year further away than our nearest neighbour Alpha Centauri), it would be brighter than the Sun in our sky and life on Earth would cease to exist. Stars that big don't need to even enter the Solar System to have significant effects on it.
