What is a Quasi-Star?

The largest stars that exist today dwarf the Sun, however one theory of how supermassive black holes came to be suggests that an even larger type of star once existed...

So it's basically an egg for black holes to emerge from

Imagine the size of the habitable zone of such a monstrosity.

UY Scuti is no longer mark as the largest star tbh..

It has retired since the new founding Stephenson 2-18 🙃

My Appreciation of this vid 💡💡 INFINITY/10

Hey Times Infinity, have you made the particle simulation at 1:36 yourself? It looks really good. What programs or plugins did you use to make it?

Imagine having a black hole as stomach💀

It’s like soo dense and put so much pressure in its core that the shell and 80% of it still stays Instact, but because of the pressure the core turns into a black hole but the rest of the star is so dense that it stays intact, so it’s as bright as a tiny galaxy, that’s my personal understanding of this

Another interesting object i would recommend for a later video would be dark stars. Dark stars were enormous primordial objects powered by the annihilation of dark matter at their cores. I saw an article about them being direct collapse supermassive black hole candidates due to their ability to grow as big as the surrounding area allowed them to grow. The reason for this is because fusion is heavily affected by mass. Higher mass means higher core temperatures which increases fusion rate. Increased fusion irradiates the surrounding area which pushes excess mass away. Dark stars however had a constant rate of annihilation unaffected by mass. Dark matter also has a high gravitational pull which allowed more mass to be pulled in and is very energy efficient. We don't know much about dark matter, but the theorized matter for energy generation are weakly interacting massive particles.

So the Quasi star is more likely the answer for the existance of supermassive black holes and they were containing a massive amount of energy produced by the black hole inside or the supernova’s power

quasi star looses its fuel to die into hypernovas and become supermassive blackholes

A Quasi Star I believe its size almost 6 1/2 UY Scuti size. I also believe in ancient times Quasi Star was a real star and even though now this star was a Black Hole. I believe this star is the core of one of the ancient Galaxy. Untill now I believe this star is the core of IC 1101. I don’t care If anyone bully me or something else cause I will never change my mind

Why the hell are these quasi stars represented as yellow stars? At their size and density (unlike scutti) they should be super massive blue giants. It makes no sense to assume they're just yellow stars.
