When I sold to close on a sell call option I was up $25 it costed me $10 to close. Meaning $15 dollar profits but..that $15 didn't hit my account so I am confused how to collect that extra price appreciation. No one seems to have this answer.

Hi, a lot of the time when I but to close it just says the order is placed but not purchased. Can you tell me why that might be?

So basically, let’s say I buy a call, expecting the stock to go up and it does ! Hooray ! But I want to lock in profits and exit the contract ASAP, I’d simply just go in and sell the exact same call ? Or would clicking sell do the exact same thing ? Instead of going in and selling the exact same contract at the exact same strike price

So I tired to buy my contract and it hasn’t filled so what do I do I don’t want to contract anymore and it won’t let me sell even though I have 100 shares !! Already

thank for the video. just what i needed. i just sold an put. already made some profit. I want to exit early before the expiration. based on the video, i should buy to close the put. my question is: if you buy to close. does it mean you just bought another put and you need to pay credit to someone else. what are you going to do with the put you just bought? or it just mean you buy to close out the deal but you don't actually own an put? not sure if this question makes sense.

Great video, thanks! Only thing that's confusing is you flipped option 3. Since you sold a put for $49, YOU have to buy the shares at $49 each. You'd then have to sell a call (assuming the price is rising) in order to break even or make a profit.

If u buy a call and the price goes up pass the breakeven price do u keep the 100 shares or u sell it before expired date

If I buy a call contract and I am in the money but I do not have enough capital to execute the call, can I sell the contract to someone else and still make money? Also, what risks do I take on if I sell my call contract because I do not have enough capital to execute the call contract?
