Many years ago, I worked for an audio magazine company, & interviewed Ron and Russell before a gig - couple of years ago, saw them at a show in Glasgow & was queueing to get my CD autographed - Russell took the CD, signed it, and as he handed it back, asked "Have we met?" I told him about the interview, he turned to Ron and said "This is the guy who interviewed us before our Glasgow gig in '96" Ron smiled, shook my hand and asked how I was - I left the queue with everyone watching, feeling about 10 feet tall....😂

Almost 50 years after their debut album, they still manage to sound fresh. Lovely song.

Russell is 72 years old, Ron is 75. There's got to be some magic involved...

"Long down jackets, overcoats, ski caps, gloves, I'm making notes" is catchy as hell

I'm one of your younger fans - started listening to Sparks in 2009 when I was 14. ever since them I'm amazed. I'd listened most of their discography, and honestly there's no other band that could reinvent itself that many times. Never once boring.

It's the year 3021, The isolated brains of the Mael-Brothers still have brilliant song-ideas.

Remember like it was yesterday seeing Sparks performance on TOPS ' this town aint big enough' and been completely blown away.
Here I am having just celebrated my 60th birthday and nothing has changed.
Surely one of the most important yet underated bands in the history of popular music.

For me as someone who has just discovered them, I think their current music is even better than their old music.

Sometime in '74 I drove my car and listened to radio when "This Town Ain't.... was suddenly on air, for first time to me. I had to pull off my car as I couldn't watch traffic as I was shocked to hear that song. Since then I have been deeply devoted and crazy for talent of Ron & Russel. By now, they are same as vintage vine: the elder the better. Their recent albums are second to none! Long live the Brothers and Sparks, forever!
