BOSE Soundlink Mini Not Working, Easy Reset

If you your Bose Soundlink Mini is not working, there is an easy reset for this by holding down the mute button for 10 seconds. I've had this speaker for quite a while and it seems to be on its last leg.

Ok so I have the same speaker, it powers on but only when plugged in and instead of hearing a beep tone I hear 2 distinct crackling noises. When I connect my phone via Bluetooth I also hear 1 crackling noise, obviously it makes no audio sound on Bluetooth or Auxiliary and I am 100% sure the mute button is off. I've probably reset it 10 times now and I'm still left scratching my head. I can't afford to send it away for repairs and the warranty is up as of over a year ago now. If anyone has any tips to help me get this thing going again I would greatly appreciate it. It's been babied it's whole life and never abused in any way and it decided to just quit on me.

On my SoundLink Mini, Mute, Bluetooth and AUX LEDs were on. I tried this trick and my SoundLink Mini is back to normal. Thank you so much RRHT.

I tried it 3 times it didn’t work. I woke up to no sound coming from it. Previously, the worst problem I have had was that it wouldn’t link with my older iPads. Now it links great with my 18 month old iPad Pro. But when I turned it on today, there was no sound from the SoundLink mini. I’ll keep trying. Thank you for your help here. I never thought that someone would put something so useful here on YouTube for older devices. It’s nice.

I have a Bose without a mute button. The middle button on my unit is a "Multifunction: controls playback and speakerphone". I did as per your video and it worked perfectly. Ten seconds later I'm listening to Spotify. Thank you!!!! Much appreciated!

For the Soundlink 2 u just press and hold the middle button with the 3 dots! Then after resetting if u like you press and hold the + & - volume buttons and u will turn off "Voice Promts".

This worked - I have this model and it was fully charged but after 3 minutes of use it would shut off and power light flashed orange. This corrected it. Thank you!
