ABOUT ME!
I started my channel in 2011 as a way to inspire other women to create a life they love! I’m a licensed hairstylist and makeup artist and have worked in the beauty industry my entire life. I currently work full time creating videos for this channel and my vlog channel. I got married in 2015 to my middle school sweetheart and had my first baby Julian in March 2018. I opened my online clothing store in 2018 called Good To Be where we sell women’s clothing and our own merch line. I’m 27 years old and live in Michigan with my husband, our son and our cavalier King Charles named Colbie. We also recently bought a vacation home in Florida that we’re renovating.

I love how you keep it real! Nobodys kitchen is spotless and its refreshing to see a Youtuber not trying to create fake perfection.

I grew up in a Mexican home where Mama made everything from scratch, so this doesn’t seem like much work to me. Once one gets used to the kitchen and more complicated meals, it becomes easy to cook and clean up. One doesn’t need to use as many dishes, it just takes time and finding ones way around the kitchen very well. All three recipients seem pretty easy and simple. Looking forward to making the soup!

Stop putting things like “ignore my no makeup”, you don’t need to put a disclaimer for that! You have so much natural beauty and you shouldn’t have to feel like you need to wear makeup at all times! Ya look gorgeous girl, embrace it!!!

I LOVE the realness of your videos. Especially the cooking in the kitchen, when you can tell bunch of other stuff was going on in kitchen lol. Most people clean and make their kitchen spotless before filming, but I actually really respected your realness. It’s what my kitchen looks like when I’m making dinner.

First lesson in cooking is read the recipe way before hand. Read it all the way through more than once way before you cook.

I have totally used paper towel when my cutting boards are all dirty 😂😂😂 glad I’m not alone, healthy recipes really do take a lot of time, work, and dishes! It’s why I fall off the bandwagon so much haha

Alex, when you pick this book back up, you could try doubling the recipe to make enough to eat multiple times or prepare a second to freeze for when you’re feeling like healthy food without all the time and dirty dishes!! See ya next time!

For everyone asking what the potato was alex used it is a sweet potato. They come in white and yellow/orange. What the grocery store sometimes calls a yam most likely isn't a yam. Yams have a bark like peel and stay firm after cooking.
