Boeing 757 Transonic wind

Last month flying across the country on a big 757 a standing transonic shock wave formed above the wing. It is like a dancing vertical mirage when the lighting is just right. The aircraft is subsonic but the faster airflow over the wing gets close to the critical mach number. The shock front moves forward and aft as the plane encounters turbulence, especially visible at around 30 seconds in the video. I've seem other videos of this phenomenon but this is the clearest I've seen. It was even better in real life! The last few seconds shows the shadow of the shock wave on the wing root.
