I had to think long and hard and be really honest with myself over narrowing down my favorite graphic novels to just 10! I look at the books I find myself re-reading every year for this list. These are books I could NEVER part with.

I was 5-6 years old when Garbage Pail Kids cards were out. They were insanely popular in the schoolyard, we would trade them and put the stickers on all of our stuff. Parents hated them, teachers confiscated them, but kids loved them.

It’s so hard to pick 3. Probably the Cates Venom Vol. 1 & 2, Invincible Omnibus Book 1, and Tom King’s The Vision. Honorable mention Charles Soule Darth Vader Vol. 1-3.

My top 3 is simple but definitely right for me. 1. Batman The Killing Joke (my favorite comic of all time) 2. Spider-Man Blue (God I love that book) 3. Amazing Spider-Man Ultimate Collection Vol. 1 by JMS and JRJR (Writing, Artwork, Nostalgia factor. It has it all)

Batman White Knight, Tom Kings Rorschach, and the first Hellboy book of short stories are ones I could never part with! Jorge Fornes masterful art and panel layouts, Dave Stewarts aesthetically brilliant color work, with Tom's intricate and methodical detective story makes Rorschach one of my favorite graphic novels ever🔥🔥🔥

Ultimate Spider-Man was the series that got me back into Spider-Man and comics in general as a teenager. I'm only about 20 issues away from having a complete run of it, will always love that series.

I could never part ways with my 2 Booster Gold HCs from the Geoff Johns run. They were so hard to find since they have been OOP for quite a while! My 3rd choice would be my Absolute Y: The Last Man Vol 3. I love that story! One of the few stories where I feel satisfied with the ending.

Wow, three I would never sell. I'd definitely go with New Frontier as well. My copy of The Crow would be on that list. It's beat up pretty good because it's nearly 30 years old and I've made so many of my friends read it because it's a book I think everyone should read. But I first read it at a time in my life when it really spoke to me, and I still love it. And for my third I'm tied between my copy of Long Halloween and Watchmen. Both books are great but for different reasons. I guess I'm choosing 4. 🤣🤣 Great video, James!
